The main goal of the ‘Peter Manschot’ fund is:
Supporting the FM-training in LMICs
The PM-fund accepts gifts to promote FM-training programs in LMICs.
The focus is on capacity building i.e. supporting students: help with staff/ faculty for training, help with organising training courses & stimulating research. The training requires a continuous input of money for the students to live, for payments of trainers and for materials, transport & overhead/ ICT.
The success of the training depends on gifts and voluntary input of many people, who go out to teach and coach merely on travel and living expense.

Donaties en aftrekbaarheid (Information in Dutch):
Giften komen vooral van donateurs of zijn eenmalige giften uit inzamelingen bij een bijzondere gebeurtenis. Ook steunen Huisartsenposten door de study fee van Family Physicians in opleiding te betalen. Door onze ANBI-status is de gift aftrekbaar.

Voor een overeenkomst “periodieke gift in geld” heeft de belasting een gunstige regeling getroffen. Gunstig, want i.t.t. een eenmalige gift is er geen drempel en is het bedrag volledig aftrekbaar. Zie ook “Hoeveel kan ik aftrekken?”
U print deze overeenkomst en vult hem in. Dan kunt u de ingevulde en getekende overeenkomst scannen en als attach mailen naar onze secretaris Pieter van den Hombergh. Hij tekent dan de overeenkomst en mailt die als PDF-attach retour.
Het totale bedrag dat voor 5 jaar of voor een zelf te bepalen tijd is opgevoerd, kan dan in een keer worden opgegeven als aftrekpost. Ook kunt u uw bank machtigen elk jaar het bedrag af te schrijven over die periode. Dat spreidt de gift over jaren en scheelt gedoe.

The ‘Peter Manschot’ fund was named after the first Dutch trainer of the FM-training in Moi University. He died a few months after teaching the 1st group of FPs in Moi-University.
In 2011 we also lost his colleague Arnout Chavannes also teacher in Eldoret.
